Two More New Models From Volvo

It looks like Volvo is determined now more than ever to get us excited for the 2012 model year. They have just announced two all-new editions to its top-of-the-line series of stations wagons and sedans. This comes following the announcement of the upgraded S60 and XC60 R-Design. The new models are the V70 R-Design and the S80 Executive.

Let's begin with the new S80 Executive sedan. A quick look will tell you that this exclusive car sits high atop the Volvo Car Corporation's lineup. It is the first model ever made by Volvo to feature a leather-top instrument panel, available in either Brown or Black. But, what Volvo of Calabasas is even more excited about are its leather seats complete featuring massage capabilities! Sounds very nice.

Volvo Delays New Flagship

With the huge success of the Volvo S60 sedan, Volve was prepared to begin work on a new flagship. Now, however, those plans have been delayed.

According to Automotive News, Volvo CEO, Stefan Jacoby said that they have no current plans to create a competitor and flagship in the near future. When Volvo was purchased by Geely last year, it had presented them with the goal of Volvo producing more finely trimmed, upscale models to compete with German luxury cars. Jacoby now, however, says that the company will focus on its core line of vehicles for now.
